Planning a stay in one of our cozy yurts nestled in the heart of the Pacific Northwest? Whether you're escaping for a weekend of forest bathing or settling in for a longer glamping retreat, packing smart makes all the difference.

Here's your go-to guide to ensure comfort, adventure, and a little indulgence during your stay.

Clothing & Footwear: Layer Up for Gorge Weather

The Gorge is known for its moody skies and dramatic shifts in temperature. Be ready for anything with:

• Comfortable layers for hiking and lounging

• A waterproof jacket (yes, it rains here—often!)

• A warm sweater or fleece for crisp evenings

• Pajamas or loungewear for fireside relaxation

• Sturdy walking shoes and easy slip-ons for yurt access

• Warm socks, gloves, and a hat if you're visiting in cooler months

• Sun hat and sunglasses for those golden afternoons

Toiletries & Personal Items: Stay Fresh, Stay Wild

Nature may be rugged, but your self-care doesn’t have to be:

• Toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, and hairbrush

• Sunscreen and bug spray (essential in summer)

• Lip balm with SPF

• A beach towel for creek dips or swimming hole plunges

Entertainment & Relaxation: Unplug and Unwind Trade screen time for starlight:

• Books, Kindle, or audiobooks

• A deck of cards or compact board games

• Yoga mat for morning stretches on the deck

Sleeping & Comfort: Sweet Dreams in the Forest

Our yurts are stocked with feather and foam pillows, but feel free to bring your own creature comforts:

• Eye mask (especially for loft sleepers)

• Earplugs (nature can be chatty at dawn)

• Your favorite pillow if you're particular

Food & Drink: Savor the Moment

Each yurt comes with a fridge and freezer, so bring your favorites:

• Snacks like trail mix, granola bars, or chocolate

• A reusable water bottle (we provide potable water)

• A thermal mug for morning coffee or evening tea

• Any and all food for cooking - yurts come equipped with full kitchens with high-end appliances

• A bottle of wine or your go-to beverage for sunset sipping

Outdoor & Adventure Gear: Explore the Gorge

The trails are calling:

• Bike and helmet for gravel road adventures

• Flashlight or headlamp (plus extra batteries)

• Binoculars for birdwatching or stargazing

• Camera or phone (don’t forget the charger!)

• Backpack for day hikes

• Notebook and pen for journaling or sketching

Miscellaneous Must-Haves - These little extras go a long way:

• Ziplock bags for snacks or wet gear

• A small hammock (please use XL trees only)

• Your favorite cozy blanket or shawl

Whether you're here for solitude, celebration, or a little bit of both, this packing list ensures you're ready to embrace the magic of the Gorge. Got a favorite item you never travel without? Let us know—we love hearing how guests make the space their own.
